There are not only handy for carpets and ceramic floors, but have a multitude of uses around the house. If you do already have one, then here are all the steps you need to take to begin using your steam-cleaner on your ceramic floor.
The Bathroom Floor
The first thing you are going to want to do is to do a thorough sweeping of your floor. You want to make sure that you pick up all of the larger pieces of dirt and debris that your steam cleaner might miss. If the corners of your floor has cobwebs, then be sure to take a dust mop or rag to clean them out thoroughly, before you move on to step two.
After you have prepared the floor, now it is time to get your cleaner ready. Remove its cap and fill it with water. If you live in an area with hard water, then you are going to want to use distilled water instead of tap water. This is to prevent calcium scale from not only putting a waxy coating on your floor but also so the life of the machine is extended. On the other hand, if you don’t have hard water, then you can safely fill your machine up with regular tap water. Be sure not to add any cleaning products to the water you put in your cleaner. They aren’t necessary and defeat the whole purpose of steam cleaning.
Place the microfiber cleaning cloth on your unit’s cleaner head and plug the machine into your electrical outlet.
As you’re squeezing the trigger of the wand, move it across the floor in the same way as you would a mop.
And that’s all there is to it! In four easy steps you can not only have cleaner ceramic floors, but your floors will also be a whole lot safer, and they will be free of all harsh chemicals and nasty little critters such as bacteria and dust mites.
